A day at Corniche

Corniche typically refers to a road on the side of a cliff or mountain, with the ground rising on one side of the road and falling away on the other.

In Middle East countries  like Qatar, the word typically describes a waterfront promenade usually paralleled by a main road, such as the renowned Doha Corniche.

Me and my kids went out to Corniche, one of the attractive place in Doha .It was a fine Saturday morning, the weather was good ,no sand storm and not too cold. There was no traffic along the way. The place was so quiet and peaceful. People of different nationalities were enjoying the nice weather by just sitting on the cool green lawns underneath the palm trees, hang out with friends and relatives, work out at the broad pavement, buying fresh fish or just simply watch the calm water.

My children had fun playing while I enjoyed taking pictures of them. In one part of Corniche fishermen were selling their freshly catch fish off the boat at a very reasonable price .I got  almost 4 kilos of fish plus 1 added lobster for just QR 15.

At the far end of the Corniche is a pyramid shaped building Sheraton Hotel, one of Doha's most iconic buildings where my husband and me had our very first date 6 years ago.

  10. I'm fond of fishing too in a rice paddies in the farm. I usually caught "puyo" or climbing fish, "pantat" or cat's fish. I was looking for fishes you've caught, but there's none. Anyway, you've an enjoyable day at Doha Corniche with your family members.

Take a good look what's reality in T.R.U.T.H. Thanks!
