Racism truly exists in the so called "powerful country" USA. It was clearly shown with the result of the viewers vote. Jessica Sanchez, the youngest finalist on TV singing contest "American Idol" was elliminated on Thursday but was dramatically saved by the show's judges as she performed a last chance song to prove she was worthy of continuing.
Lopez rushed up on stage with fellow judges Randy Jackson and Steven Tyler. "Give me that mic!", interrupted Jennifer Lopez, "This is crazy!" and announced they were using their only "save" to keep Sanchez on the show. “We’re going to use our card tonight, especially with an outcome like this.”

Jessica Sanchez, who was singing all her life ,was born on August 4, 1995 in Chula Vista, California. Her father Gilbert is a Mexican American originally from Texas, is a U.S. Navy veteran who fought in the Iraq War. Her mother Editha Bugay is a Filipina from Bataan, Philippines.
It shows the flaw in the voting system, not just on AI but on other "talent" searches as well.
ReplyDeleteKeep up the good work :)
it is totally hilarious!!! i mean i don't care about racism or some what! but isn't it that they have to vote for the best! and not for some racism reasons? I mean lets face it! its a singing contest dudes! xx peace!
ReplyDeleteshe got a really good backer there. i really hope she wins! another hooray for the Filipino!
ReplyDeleteIt think it was very overwhelming 'cause there's only one (1) save option that the judges could use per season and it was given to Jessica. Somehow judges still commit on their job to fairly look on the talent beyond race. On the other hand, Jessica needs to work hard to prove America what she got! and to show them that she's deserving to be saved.
ReplyDeletei really hope she wins.. galing nya grabe ang talent nya
ReplyDeleteall I can see was just a misunderstanding bet. the community and her fans maybe we all thought that everyone will vote so some have just lie lowed, I just hoped that if my friend will come back at the Hawaii they will used 3 ip and all of their loads just to vote for rJessica
ReplyDeleteReal talent is unstoppable , in this case it was saved by the judges injunction. I believe she will surely win
ReplyDeleteNow I have great respect to the three AI judges. Imagine making a stand in front of the whole America. Now that's fighting for fairness and justice.:)
ReplyDeleteIn any contest or competition,
ReplyDeletecontroversies may affect its popularity and ratings.
Good or bad publicity is still publicity. Reactions left and right,
comments negative or positive have flooded the entertainment
world regarding this incident. What's important now is...
JESSICA is saved and it's up to AMERICAN IDOL management to
strictly implement their rules. VOTES count but gifted talents
are seen by the eyes of the beholder.
For me American idol is selecting the 10 best singers, then after that it becomes a a popularity contest, talent is forgotten! ;(
ReplyDeleteI am looking forward that the Americans will vote because of talent and not for creed... May Jessica succeed. I know she will make big in Hollywood!
ReplyDeleteJessica Sanchez is my American Idol!
ReplyDeleteGod knows and those judges know what is really a quality. They save Jessica Sanchez of she got the talent. I became emotional reading your post. I may react otherwise. Let's put it this way. For me, it is not racism why JS didn't make it in the text vote. Every talent has their own controlled group or followers. They have to vote for their bet. Much more with if they're being "bought" Do you get what I mean?
ReplyDeleteWhen the majority are given the power to vote, this is what happens. Charice didn't make it during the singing star search here in the Philippines because majority voted for Sam Concepcion who was charming. But Charice is on top of the world now. If ever Jessica can't have the title, for sure she'll be bigger than the winners in the show.
ReplyDeleteI was watching it unfold..
ReplyDeletemy initial reaction really was that AI needs the drama.
Jessica also had it coming, it happens as well with other reality shows like Survivor..
People loves the hero/heroin, but the moment that hero takes a downward turn, you can watch it tumble.. they like these kind of stories really.
Sometimes, it's better to stay being the dark horse that surprises everyone at the finale than a consistent champion that might rop the bomb anywhere.
As for Jessica! she's a real genuine talent, its about time America gets a wake up call.
hope Jessica Sanchez can win tis season's AI, she deserves it! so people pls vote for her!
ReplyDeleteI think Jessica's effortlessly good! She deserves a spot at Idol
ReplyDeleteI'm amazed how the judges saved her! SUPER EPIC! I adore her voice! Horray to her <3
