Monday ,April 23, 2012,my youngest son had a Trike-A-Thon activity at school yesterday. Parents were asked to bring tricycle for their kids. The kids left the learning center at 10:45 am riding the school bus going to Fort Towson Depot which is only a few blocks away while the parents followed them. Children were excited seeing the tricycle and started riding. After an hour of fun, lunch was served and shared by everybody before going back to school

How I wish I had this opportunity when I was still as young as your son. Hahaha. But I believe I will be able to do it in the future. :)
ReplyDeleteSuch a cool and interactive concept! I was able to witness something like this back in Singapore. They had a similar setup to this only that it was open for all the kids to try. The activity was established to help encourage and to help teach kids how to understand traffic signs and how to properly ride their bikes (they even had mini-cars for the bigger kids to try and drive). =)
ReplyDeleteAhahaha, we did this in the pre-school where I used to teach before. It was fun seeing the kids racing and having fun. :)
ReplyDeletelooks like fun but I have to say something about the lack of helmets...even if it is just a trike, helmets are one necessary accessory.
ReplyDeletewe always go in the park with friends and with their families as well to ride some bikes! very relaxing and enjoying the cycling with the family is absolutely love! xx
ReplyDeleteI think this is a great way to get kids to be involve with fun physical activities. nowadays, masyado ng maraming bata na puro computer na lng!
ReplyDeleteWow! My son would love to take part on this contest even if he didn't win. It's all about fun for him. It is really good for them to know how play safely to prevent them from harm.
ReplyDeleteNice pictures and blog. Take care.
Oh how cute! Can hardly wait for our lil one to grow a bit older to do stuff like this. I'm pretty sure the kids had a blast!
ReplyDeleteThis event is so cool and cute... To think I was able to join my first duathlon event this year. =>
ReplyDeleteThis is great for children.
ReplyDeletenice!!! mag enjoy din ung 6 year old ko for sure! - kaso wala dito ganyan.. hehe pero now play sya tee-ball! :))
ReplyDeletelove this concept.. it teaches the kids a great lesson on how to compete but have fun too
ReplyDeleteAnother great way for kids to spend their summer using smart concept. Hope most schools here in the metro would mimic this advocacy.
ReplyDeleteKids! Too cute!! My brother should've done this. :D
ReplyDeleteThis is definitely a fun activity for the kids.
ReplyDeleteIt's a healthy competition as well. In this way,
the children will learn to struggle for the win but
know how to accept failure at the same time.
That's way better than having your kid play computer games though. ^_^
ReplyDeleteCool! I can't wait for my little kiddie to grow up and can play like this! Looks exciting! :3
ReplyDeleteThis is a great activity, Ma'am Tess! It's both fun and educational. Plus, it's for a good cause! :-)
ReplyDeleteI used to bike around when I was a kid. I bet your son had a very good time.
ReplyDeletenice activity for the family and kids :)
ReplyDeletethat is so cool ... nakakatuwa naman activity ng mga kids :)
