My father is the oldest of 9 children who hails from Bicol. At a young age, he went to Manila to work and follow his dream. He did not finish high school so he ended up working in a small grocery store owned by the young Chinese couple as their boy/ helper. The store did make it good until the owner switched to a small canned factory with my father as their st employee and mechanic. My father did master the mechanic job through experience that saves the company s a lot of money.
