Just sharing my son's latest video shoot. It was actually taken last month during his bed time.He knows a lot of nursery rhyme already but "Five Little Monkey" obviously is his favorite song so far. Come, sing along with him.
Putting children to sleep is a power battle. To avoid this, I learned to offer my little boy acceptable choices at bedtime. I let him make choices whenever possible during his bedtime routine, he may watch video on you tube for a certain time, play with his educational laptop, listen to my story telling or video shoot if he is in the mood, letting him sing his favorite songs. Then after a while, once he has done with his choice of activity, asking him to sleep is so easy. He even asks to turn off the light or put his laptop aside.
Five Little Monkeys
Five little monkeys jumping on the bed
One fell off and bumped his head
Mama called the doctor,
And the doctor said
No more monkeys jumping on the bed
Four little monkeys jumping on the bed
One fell off and bumped his head
Mama called the doctor
And the doctor said,
No more monkeys jumping on the bed
Three little monkeys jumping on the bed
One fell off and bumped his head
Mama called the doctor
And the doctor said,
No more monkeys jumping on the bed
Two little monkeys jumping on the bed
One fell off and bumped his head
Mama called the doctor
And the doctor said,
No more monkeys jumping on the bed
One little monkey jumping on the bed
One fell off and bumped his head
Mama called the doctor
And the doctor said,
Put those monkeys right to bed
aaw, thats cute. I suddenly remember how difficult it was for my parents to put me to sleep, especially during nap time from 1pm - 4pm,
ReplyDeleteOh he's sooo adorable! My son doesn't want to watch Five Little Monkeys because he pity the monkeys bumping their head:) every time i let him watch, he'll ask me to help the monkeys:)
ReplyDeleteAwwwwwwwwwww, he is too cute!
ReplyDeleteI've almost forgotten about "Five Little Monkeys". We borrowed a book with a great illustration to go along with the song, and I had to sing it out to the older ones when they were still in the Littlest age.
Love the extra songs (Twinkle, twinkle Little Star and ABC) Julian sang at the end. They are Mary's favourite! :) Going to let her watch it tomorrow.
that's so entertaining. actually, i did not know this song. this might be a good start for my niece who also loves to sing. she even know how to sing "pusong bato" because of repetitive playback in our neighborhood.
ReplyDeleteI love rhymes when I was a kid. Twinkle Twinkle little star is my all time favorite. Haha.
ReplyDeletethat was a great tip you shared, as early as now, making the child make choices, and great he follows what he needed to do after doing what he likes.
ReplyDeleteWow your son is so bibo. It's good you start giving him choices even at the end of it, its sleeping time. He'll feel in-charge and lets him enjoy a few more minute before he sleeps.
ReplyDeleteAwwww ... adorable!
ReplyDeleteThat is nice! Yu have made something that your child will have to look forward in getting to sleep.
ReplyDeleteIt's one of the songs I liked on The GiggleBellies, I think my baby loves it too, I let her hear the songs from The GiggleBellies and other nursery rhymes sung by different artists... I think her favorite is the Twinkle Twinkle Little Star Lullaby by The GiggleBellies, it made her sleep... :)
ReplyDeleteI was thinking of blogging about my baby's fave song while sleeping too... hehehehe...
Awww... your son is adorable!! I should probably try this song on my niece.. perhaps it'll work. :)
ReplyDeleteAwesome! You have a composer and a singer in the making.. not to mention a very adorable one :)
ReplyDeleteAwww this is so adorable!!!! :)
ReplyDeleteSo cute..!Five Little Monkeys song is new to my ears.. tnx Julian :)
ReplyDeleteVery cute!
ReplyDeleteSo nice!! I didn't know this one..
ReplyDeleteSince I'm having sleep problems, I'll try listening to the rhyme before going to bed. The rhyme might work for me.
ReplyDeletei remember this singing to my kinder class... and they all off to bed... hahaha
ReplyDeleteThis is cute. I'll let my daughter watch this. ^_^
ReplyDeletevery cute.. woot.. i think If I sing for my kid before he sleeps.. my kid will have a hard time sleeping because of the creepiness of my voice hahaha
ReplyDeleteAaaw.. so precious. Your son is so cute! I'm sure he'll make a lot of girls cry when he grows up. Hahaha!
ReplyDeleteThis is the first time i've heard of that song.
