Maintain Safety in Crowds and Public
Many people feel uncomfortable in crowds. With all the media attention associated with random acts of violence, gangs’ wars or people dying in crown stampedes, there are good reasons to be weary in crowded situations. Even the very popular flash mobs which many of us associate with musical numbers on YouTube can be the perfect opportunity for thieves and other criminal acts. However, no one should feel afraid in a crowd, the following guide http://www.homesecuritystore.com/guides/Crowd-Control-Guide.pdf offers very valuable tips on remaining safe. It is very important to be always aware of your surroundings, by knowing what is happening around you, you will be able to notice any suspicious changes and alert the proper authorities. When entering a public or crowded situation, make sure to plan your exit strategy as soon as you enter. By locating the exits you will be able to make a swift disappearance if the need arises. Human stampedes often occur when people in groups follow a crowd mentality, pushing and shoving to exits. The only way to remain safe is to remain upright and calm without pushing making your way to the exit. The old saying goes the an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure, therefore feeling prepared for a potential emergency may make you feel more secure if the need arises. Self defense classes or even some basic CPR training may be enough to make you feel like you can help yourself and others in an emergency. In a true emergency you should help yourself first, by eliminating yourself from the situation by either running or hiding, before you decide to help other. Remember the only way you can help other people if to be in a safe situation yourself. By remaining calm, collected and vigilant crowded situations are nothing to fear.
