My eldest came home from school with a newspaper. He was so proud to show me what is inside of it.He is included in the superintendent's "A Honor List" and was also posted on the local newspaper. To be included on the list,a student should have an straight A's grade. My son knows what makes me happy,an straight A's grade. He learned that from the moment he lived with me in Qatar.Being an OFW,he grew up with my parents and siblings in the Philippines for 7 years.I left him when he was only 4 months old. He turned out to be a spoiled brat because of the special attentions he receives from my family. But with me and my husbands guidance he turned to be a responsible and obidient son.He knew that getting the highest and not only the good grades in school is what I want from him.For other people you may think that I expect too much from my son but I only do it because I know I can push him to the limit. .Being in a foreign country,I want him to stand out in class and not just an ordinary foreign student.Any way, his high grade gets compensated by giving him whatever he wants as long as we can afford it. Here is my other post on his School Achievements .

ReplyDeleteCongratulations buddy! Naalala ko tuloy nung elementary/high school ako. Excited akong umuuwi kapag nasa honor list ako.
ReplyDeleteThat is something to be proud of. It's not easy to reach the top. Congratulations.
ReplyDeleteCongrats to both.... to mommy continue the motivation and guidance to your kids...
ReplyDeleteWow congratulations!!! I've seen a lot of parents who are pressuring their kids in school even reviewing them up to wee hours in the morning before their exams. I'm not a mother yet but I hope to be a good mom too, ,I want my kid to excel in school but I also want them to enjoy. ;-)
ReplyDeletecongratulations to your son and to you and your husband for raising a smart and obedient son :)
ReplyDeleteThis is a great post, one that can make us proud however, as an educator, I have reservations as to this motivation factor being the grades and more so about achieving more and standing out. It is very lucky that your son Tess shares the same enthusiasm as you in his motivation in attending class and achieve more because there are others who does not.
ReplyDeleteWe may have differences in inspiring and motivating our kids but the bottom line in all these is to make sure that our kids also want and need what we want and need for them to do.
I am proud of what he has attained for himself and more proud of your inspiration Tess.
Keep it up! God bless
you must be very proud of him... congratulations to him and to the parents who guide him well. Yahweh bless. http://trunklocker.blogspot.com/2012/01/to-write-or-not-to-write.html
ReplyDeleteI can only imagine how proud mom you are!
ReplyDeleteI don't think it is easy to compete and being at a foreign country at that.
Congratulations to your son and to you, his parents.
Your story touched me because my wife and I took care of our only 'apo' since she was 1 year old and it seemed we spoiled her. I'm glad that she is now (at almost 5 years of age) under the care of her mother who finished her doctorate studies abroad. The mother's TLC is really important for growing up kids.
ReplyDeleteBy the way, congratulations on your child's performance in school.
quite an achievement! galing naman ... sana he will keep it up
ReplyDeletecongrats po for having sweet and bright kids!
ReplyDeleteNothing is more fulfilling than seeing your sacrifices paying off. Congratulations to you and your son. That's an A+ achievement. :)
ReplyDeletecongrats! how sweet this reward is... a great start normally leads to a great finish... with your guidance and continuous motivation, he surely will sustain being in an honor roll, in academe and in life
ReplyDeleteWell done! I'm sure you and your family is now celebrating his achievement. All the best to all of you. God bless.
ReplyDeletecongratulations on the achievement of your son. :-)
ReplyDeleteCongratulations! Being a parent, I, too, know how truly special that moment is when your child comes home from school to tell you he/she made it to the top of his class!
ReplyDeleteRealizing one's potential at an early age would not have been possible without one's parents. Which is why honor students reflect their parents' support. <3 Good job, not only to him, but to you!
ReplyDeleteCongrats to your son for this academic milestone! May he continue to find success in his future endeavors. And congrats to you too cuz behind every successful child is a supportive parent. :)
ReplyDeleteCongrats!
ReplyDeleteSabi nga po nila ang mabuting anak ay mula sa magulang na mabuti din at matalino.
Godbless po sa inyo.
Congratulations to your son and of course, to the great parents, too. God bless!
