Pregnancy is a serious topic when it comes to teenagers yet a fulfilling experience to a married woman. Getting pregnant is not that easy. There are stages a woman could face during her pregnancy. Symptoms and other signs to overcome are what mostly encountered. From vomiting down to food cravings, from sleeping most of the time down to having hiccups and so much more! There, it’s indeed not that easy to get pregnant. Although it’s not that easy as expected, the mere fact that a woman carries a life in her womb is what the most special about it.
However, pregnancy is not just about bearing a child, but of course this is also one way of being responsible as well. Prepare for pregnancy is what should every woman has. Because being a mother doesn’t just mean taking care of kids, raising them as what you used to know or even feeding them; but as well the love a mother provides to her kids what matters the most.
Meanwhile, as years passed by a lot of women specifically teenagers get pregnant at very early age which is really a big problem not just to their families but as well in the community. Most of them think that getting pregnant is not that a big obligation in their part which in fact, is really misunderstood by many. And aside from that, most of them are not married nor have a man with them whom their kids will call a father- wherein is not a good idea to have at all.
Getting pregnant at very young age is risky for both mother and child. With that, it’s pretty good idea that most of schools nowadays include sex education on their studies for students know the effects of it to them. And also, it contributes as well a great impact to our community.
If people know their limitations, then it would not that hard enough to teach everyone on how to be responsible in everything. Thus, everyone should be educated more about the effects of engaging in sex at very young age.
a large percentage of the youth today really gets into pregnancy even though they don't have the resources to support themselves.....,
ReplyDeleteI asked myself, why did they choose to give up their youth knowing that there is something great waiting ahead of them...
Educating the teenagers with regards to this is a must. They should know their limitations and should be responsible with their actions.
ReplyDeleteSex education may be frowned upon by some but it is very important these days especially for curious young teens.
ReplyDeletewell, this happened because teenagers have lack of knowledge about pregnancy and sex. yes, sex education is important and needs to be pushed before it's too late.
ReplyDeletewe have a show here called TEEN PREGNANT and it's really sad that they had to get pregnant at the early age. a baby already have a baby! sad. they had to depend on their parents and lucky for those teens who have their parents support and unlucky for those who didnt get the support they need.
ReplyDeleteThe media; films and news (even adverts) giving out the notion that it's ok to engage in premarital sex or any other innuendos like that really plays a big role on the youth...I'm for sex education but portraying sex in films as though it's like eating your meal regularly is not good at all... :/
ReplyDeletePregnancy is a beautiful thing especially when you are waiting for it for the rest of your life. It is not hard getting pregnant and taking care of yourself. Every pregnancy is different and wish all the pregnant women in the world to have a safe and easy delivery
ReplyDeleteEarly pregnancies certainly have consequences for the mother, the father and the child, not to mention their respective families. Teenage children should be guided accordingly with regards to the limitations that should be observed in having relationships.
ReplyDeleteAs a parent it is our responsibility to teach our teenagers to be responsible adult. We can't always rely to our education system to do this work.
ReplyDeletewell written article, thanks for sharing
ReplyDeleteThis is a good topic. There are young people nowadays that got pregnant too early. My sister got a baby when she was 15 its embarrassing but mom tried to help her. My neighbor's daughter got pregnant when she was 12 and the guy was old sigh...
ReplyDeleteI am one of those women who are praying to get pregnant (as I couldn't). I do hope that at least once, I can bear a child.
ReplyDeleteAnyway, I do agree on sex education be included in school teachings for the students be educated about what good and bad the effects are to their lives.
For teenagers it's not so wise to get into this stage. A parent can only hope that by teaching their teenagers and educating well in regards with this matter should help them avoid this mistake. But to the couples it is indeed a blessing and a miracle to behold. Yes, one must understand that changing hormones can lead to a mode swings. So, to understand a pregnant woman is a must.
ReplyDeleteI agree getting pregnant has a lot of things that go with it. It's not just a one time thingy that after you give birth, the journey stops there. It carries a responsibility that we need to walk through until our children grow up.
ReplyDeleteThis is one of the disadvantages of social media and peer pressure. We should also use social media to reverse the effect by educating our kids. Sad to say even my 11 yrs old niece now has so many suitors! I'm still playing on the streets at that age! ;( really a challenge for parents.
ReplyDeleteGood thing i'm 22 already when I got pregnant!

the real essence of sex has already been long gone. when its true nature should only be to produce or for conception. now it has wickedly turn into just a mere game.
ReplyDeletekids now a days just dont have any idea how big the responsibility is to get pregnant. not only that but also to be a mother to the child. hope we will have programs on how to educate the kids on this kind of stuff and teach them the value of life and not waste it
ReplyDeleteIt's really sad when teenagers already engage in sex nowadays. Family and society have a great role in educating these young ones. I for one has fears for my daughter especially we are living in this liberated country. I just hope I can instill in her the sanctity of her body.
ReplyDeleteIt's gonna be difficult for teenagers to be pregnant for one they give up the wonders of youth then they get derailed in their studies plus they are not emotionally prepared for parenthood.
ReplyDeleteTeaching Sex Education at schools will help a little if, parents don't do their part to watch over their daughters.
ReplyDeleteI was actually 10 years old when my 14 year old cousin got pregnant with her first baby. Right after that, I was told about the precautions of getting pregnant at an early age.. I have, since then, stood by that understanding. I'm almost nearing my 29th birthday.. and still enjoying my single life. I know that when the time to be a mother comes, I'd really want to be prepared for it. :)
ReplyDeleteI had an early pregnancy. I was very naughty, got pregnant and ended up as a single mother but I didnt REGRET it. It wasnt easy and it will never be easy but as time goes by you get used to "MUM" things and learned from the mistakes that has been done. The only thing I can advise to those teenagers outhere is DONT THINK TWICE, think BILLION TIMES before doing such thing. Its not easy, its not cute, BELIEVE ME! LOL!
ReplyDeleteIf you're going to do it and it happens, then it's good to be responsible adults.
ReplyDeleteI had early pregnancy. And you're right it is very difficult. Same with Novie, DON'T THINK TWICE, THINK BILLION TIMES. It is good to have FUN but set your limits.
ReplyDeleteIn today's generation... youths don't even know the difference between making love and making lust. They are susceptible to engaging in early sex because of what they see and read so, it's the primary responsibility of parents to guide them and keep their mind focus on studies and help them to be more mature people. Parents' advice is always the best!
ReplyDeleteJust be happy you got preggy! Life's super good!
ReplyDeletethe scenario before is very much different from todays getting pregnant . before it is amust to get pregnant for securing the population but now the population reached its threshold due to some unwanted pregnancy and not prepared for the responsiblity for the couple married or not ..
ReplyDeleteteenagers should really have understood it very well that getting pregnant / being parent when they not yet prepared physically, emotionally, financially, spiritually etc... is not a joke.
ReplyDeleteit's is permanent and there's and there is no turning back. they have the responsibility to the child and yes, tot he community.
What a great summary of what teenagers really needs at this kind of generation. They need to be educated about teen pregnancies and issues like that.
ReplyDeleteThe modern society is a lot different from way back then in whatever it may be and teenage pregnancy is prevalent nowadays. And there's really a big risk that involves when we are talking of teenage pregnancy.
ReplyDeleteAccording to the statistics provided by USec Leon Flores III of NYC, regarding early sexual encounters (previously pre-marital sex) about 23% of Filipino young adults (aged 15 to 27 yeasrs old) engage in early sexual encounters.
ReplyDeleteFor more Filipino youth statistics you can check http://www.specialeducationphilippines.com/2012/08/19/teachers-recess-seminar-most-recent-filipino-youth-statistics-from-the-national-youth-commission-part-2/
I agree with you when you mentioned that the issue of early pregnancy does not end when the young woman gives birth because after her pregnancy she has to deal with child rearing and building a family.
I think that we as a society should strive to address the root cause of the early pregnancy and at the same time give support to those who are already dealing with the issue. The solutions for both ends of the spectrum should be provided simultaneously.
above is all truth. for me its how a teenager act after she gave birth and how she going to do things in her way.
ReplyDeleteI am currently pregnant and I believe that pregnancy is something to be prepared of. It is important for both couples to be prepared especially the mother. I think if the expectant mom is too young like teenager then somebody should guide her.
ReplyDeleteExperience of a Super Mommy
teen pregnancy is always a high-risk one...it's sad that there are many 15 to 20 yr old girls who get pregnant simply because their parents were too busy with other things that they give their children too much freedom for their age or simply neglect to guide them.
