It is Couples Corner once again .This time we were talking about hobbies ,expensive or not.Well, for me and hubby with 5 children to feed expensive hobbies are out of our vocabulary .Our focused now is to save money for our future life in the US and our little boys education.
For 6 years living in Qatar,we are happy with just staying home together watching some movies ,shopping once in a while and eat out whenever we want. Husband likes to go fishing but not here in Qatar so he just settle for a fishing hobby whenever he is on a vacation with or without the kids.
Mine is cooking and collecting cookbooks ,I have a whole bunch of cook books that I collected years back and a certificate and a license from TESDA for cooking and baking course.Take me to the bookstore and you know where to find me.
sa cookbook section, ehehe. cooking is one of my hobbies too.
ReplyDeleteI only cook when I have to feed my family, so I don't consider it as hobby. mahilig din pala sa fishing ang hubby mo, magkakasundo sila ni hubby ko. ReplyDeleteI think going to a local craft store or a craft fair in your area and see what is for sale from other vendors and at the craft store you can find something that will jump put at you.
ReplyDeleteAysus! Pagka-chef diay gyud nimo :) hehehe, I guess with a mommy of 4(?) you can focus of one hobby which is cooking. Kaya pala may cooking blog ka :)

ReplyDeletecooking is already a great hobby. you're not only enjoying it yourself, you're making more people happy with the result of your work. i love it!
ReplyDeletebeautiful family indeed. I believe we need not spend too much for our hobbies.
ReplyDeleteHobby is one's way of making himself/herself entertained, amused, or self-gratified. Thus, making himself/herself productive in the activity chosen. You're right that you've not indulged in a expensive kind of a hobby. Actually, the main purpose of a hobby is to make a diversion of your routine daily chores.
ReplyDeleteI bet you have a great cooking skills. a hobby can sometimes be a good source of income .Agree? Whatever it is that you really want to pursue , just go for it. I regret that I did not take culinary arts which I really like. But I guess it's not too late right. Take care and Goodluck in everything you do

Cooking is a great hobby indeed. you can experiment on certain dishes or do it with the kids. I'm not much into cook books but I do love Nigella Bites, Rachel Ray and Bobby Fray. and there's Wolfgang Puck as well with his Live Love and Eat lines. At present though I'm not so sure if I still know how to cook but I do pride on my jelly(both gelatin and the spread) and pasta dishes when I was in high school. and right now I still have my sandwiches to boast on as well :) My sister and my dad owns the kitchen....
ReplyDeleteme naman books ang kinocollect ko. some cookbooks din but hindi ako love ng pagluluto so hanggang collect na lang :)
