Never Judge Anyone

I just read a very touching story that touched my heart. The father of the dying patient was so mad to the doctor for being late for the operation. It is a matter of life and death but the doctor came in calm and did what he is supposed to do to save the patient. After the successful operation, he came out to inform the father the good news, and told him to ask the nurse for some information and hurriedly ran out of the hospital. The father thought of him as an arrogant doctor until he learned about the Doctors burden to the nurse.

A doctor entered the hospital in hurry after being called for an urgent surgery. He answered the call asap, changed his clothes and went directly to the surgery block. He found the boy's father going and coming in the hall waiting for the doctor. Once seeing him, the dad yelled: "Why did you take all this time to come? Don't you know that my son's life is in danger? Don't you have the sense of responsibility?"

The doctor smiled and said: "I am sorry, I wasn't in the hospital and I came the fastest I could after receiving the call...... And now, I wish you calm down for that I can do my work"

"Calm down?! What if your son was in this room right now, would you calm down? If your son dies now what will you do??" said the father angrily

The doctor smiled again and replied: "I will say what Allah said in His Holy Book [Who, when disaster strikes them, say, "Indeed we belong to Allah , and indeed to Him we will return."] does the believer have anything but this? Doctor cannot prolong lives. Go and make Dua for your son, we will do our best In Shaa Allah"

"Giving advises when we're not concerned is so easy" Murmured the father.

The surgery took some hours after which the doctor went out happy,
"Al-Hamdulillah, your son is saved!" And without waiting the father's reply he carried on his way running "If you have any question, ask the nurse!!"

"Why is he so arrogant? He couldn't wait some minutes for that I ask about my son's state" Commented the father when seeing the nurse minutes after the doctor left.

The nurse answered, tears coming down her face: "His son died yesterday in a road accident, he was in the burial when we called him for your son's surgery. And now that he saved your son's life, he left running to finish his son's burial."

The moral of the story: NEVER JUDGE ANYONE because you never know how their life is and what they’re going through.

  2. As a human being, we are easily provoked especially when our needs is not met right away. We better prioritize our concern without considering first others. There is a saying which is often quoted: "Think before you leap"

  3. A nice read this rainy afternoon. very good story. I agree in a sense we should not judge anyone. But it does not mean no-no talaga ang mag-judge, Some chritians misunderstood this phrase. The scripture said "Judge not for you will be judge with your judgment.

  5. I have already read this kind of story from the FB several years ago. Most of the people, especially when they've a member of a family to be treated or to be medically attended to. Usually they keep on blaming the doctor concerned of his lateness or inability to response to the call immediately. But they don't know the real situation of the physician. Bad, very bad!

  6. I've read another version of this story before. We should really not judge people because we don't know what they're going through.

  7. This is tragic and sad! :( If only people can learn to control their thoughts and judgement, then maybe the world can be a better place! :')

  8. ouch...sometimes, we tend to say what we think is right, the moral of the story is to think twice first before we say anything. You don't know what other people are going through, so before we judge, before we speak and before we conclude, learn to know the person first.

  10. That's what people have to face thru by working to serve the public.
Ive seen this through and through, stories similar to this one from some of my friends.. well less the drama of the divine.
We are humans, as we are, it can't be help..
I work as customer service, and I get brunts and underserved insults all the time, it would have been difficult were I unable to place myself in other people's shoes.

  11. This is very true and very touching. We often become so self-centered that we forget people around us may be experiencing something more difficult than what we're going through. It's still best to always be humble and not think badly of other people.
