Congratulations to Venus Raj for making it to the top 5 out of the 83 candidates in the recently concluded Miss Universe 2010 Pageant.Miss Mexico won the Miss Universe title.
In my opinion , if she just asked for an interpreter,he might have a better answer and won the title.Let's face it the whole world are watching plus the fact that she surely knows how to speak English but not that good enough to deliver it properly in straight English which is common to majority of Filipinos. This just shows that beauty and over confident is not just enough.Hopefully the next candidates won't be ashamed to use the services of an interpreter if they feel that their grammar is limited.

You know what, sir, in my 22 years of existence I can say that there’s nothing major, major, I mean problem that I’ve done in my life because I’m very confident with my family, with the love that they are giving to me. So thank you so much that I’m here. Thank you, thank you so much!”
I like and approved her answer.

For me she aswered it right.
To really analize the questions, at young ages these days,many stupid girls are going astray.
She is 22, no father figure, but she did her life better than those with money, good life, and complete parents.
And if she did made major mistakes in her life, why would she tell it to the whole world?
She will just beat herself with her own stick, di ba?
She is discreet .A character not many TRUE filipina has.
She may not a winner to filipinos, but she is to her family.

ReplyDeleteLOL! I agree with you on this one. :) I watched news shows here in the States and they're saying she lost because her answer made her seem pompous. Venus admitted it herself, she was so nervous that she didn't even know what she was saying. She could've won but her popularity has reached a major major level.
