Farewell - A Tribute to a Friend

Farewell (To You My Friend) Lyrics by Raymond Lauchengco

This post is dedicated to the life and memory of Allan John Castillo, a batch mate, a high school friend, who is loved lots by his family and friends. He lived, he loved, he laughed ,he was a part of our lives.Let us remember him with his laughs and smiles.Saddened by his death, my tears can't help falling while listening to the song. Allan John, died of Stage 4 liver cancer in Kuwait on March 1 .The sad news was posted on our High School batch Facebook page.

We will continue to keep your memory alive as will the many who loved you.

Rest In Peace Allan ,you will be dearly missed.

Footprints

One night a man had a dream. He dreamed He was walking along the beach with the LORD. Across the sky flashed scenes from His life. For each scene He noticed two sets of footprints in the sand. One belonging to Him and the other to the LORD.

When the last scene of His life flashed before Him, he looked back at the footprints in the sand. He noticed that many times along the path of His life there was only one set of footprints. He also noticed that it happened at the very lowest and saddest times of His life.

This really bothered Him and He questioned the LORD about it. LORD you said that once I decided to follow you, you'd walk with me all the way. But I have noticed that during the most troublesome times in my life there is only one set of footprints. I don't understand why when I needed you most you would leave me.

The LORD replied, my precious, precious child, I Love you and I would never leave you! During your times of trial and suffering when you see only one set of footprints, it was then that I carried you.

  11. Awts.. Last month, I also lost a dear friend. Highschool classmate ko sya.. and he's only 31 years old. Too early.. so young. Pero sabi nga, siguro hanggang dun lang talaga ang hiram nyang buhay. End of the line..

Like my good friend Bobot, may your friend's soul rest in peace..

    Para kay ser Allan

    Nilisan mo man itong daigdig,
    Tinig mo'y patuloy na maririnig
Tulad ng mga huni ng ibon
    Na hatid ay pag-ibig.

  21. It is a time to let go of a friend no matter how painful it is. Where is right now...I believe he is happier because he is no longer suffering pain caused by his cancer. May his family find comfort in the love of their friends.

  29. It's really sad to know that someone had died,
especially if you used to know that person!

I've had my share of loses, young as I was.
    I've known heartaches..
    Of a friend committing suicide..
    Or witnessing a tragic death..

Though death is a part of living.
It's sad to loose someone a little early in the journey of life!

May your friend rest in peace! :)
And he be remembered with the fondest memories!
