1. Huwag naman magpakacheap na makipag away online.
2. Kung hindi imbitado, huwag pumunta or mag gate crash.
Dahil sino ka ba para magpa ban in the first place.
Pakibasa ho ng nakasulat sa no. 1 at no. 12. Salamat po!
Deletehahahaha...isa na ako s nakisawsaw sa usapan nila kahit walang alam..as in ride on na lang kasi nakakabuang talaga malaman na may mga taong ganun. PAK!
ReplyDeleteHala!
I will post the message na naka screen shot pa for sure alam na kung ano pinag ugatan. thank you.
ReplyDeleteI've been reading lots of posts about this issue and I can't help commenting on this post.
ReplyDeleteRe: Tips 6 & 7 - This is the MOST BASIC RULE. If you get invited, you have to blog about it. It's disappointing to hear that some bloggers attend events but "forget" blogging about it.
Tip 9 - If you're blogging just to get freebies, you're blogging for the wrong reasons.
Tip 10 - Super correct! If you don't have the means to blog about restos, or food in general, then blog about something you can afford.
It's weird that there's a new term for this type of bloggers ("lootbag bloggers"). Blogging isn't just about events or lootbags or free food. PR companies and business owners will approach you naman if pag ayos ang blog mo, no need to chase them. :)
Yun lang po. :)
hahaha seryoso? ma nag away dahil sa loot bags? eh kaya nmn nila bilihin yun e. ako most of the time ang habol ko sa event ay pictures at calling cards nila :) pictures with the people ive been with on an event and then binoblog ko. un lang. yun loot bags naman usually lessthan 200 php lang laman pero un moment na nandun ka with the people you only get to talk online eh sobrang rare lang so better to take home pictures nalang :)
ReplyDeleteMay ganito ba talaga?
ReplyDeleteit boils down to manners and common sense. If you're invited in an event as a blogger, act as a professional blogger. Actions that you've made will make a lasting impression to the organizers and other bloggers.
ReplyDeleteI've never been to any events like that or whatevs. But yeah, if you are not invited please refrain from going. It's embarrassing.
ReplyDeletehmm never heard of it. that's too bad. fight over loot bags, haha!
ReplyDeleteGanito katindi?
ReplyDeleteI am so sorry to hearr about that. Didn't know anything like this existed na may nagaaway na dahil lang jan. Sa dito lang ano sa US pag imbitado ka, ikaw lang talaga ang pwedeng mag attend and you are not allowed to bring someone keh kapamilya mo or close friend basta hindi na invite. Unethical kasi ang magshow up na walang invitation and they expect you to respect that. LOL! anyway, I hope okay na etech and wala nang awayan.
ReplyDeletehahaha, natawa naman ako sa "walanghiyang kabayo".
DeleteOr maybe it's appropriate to call them Pigs weeee.
DeleteAnyhow, join ka ulit sa Color Connection.. Linky is up now.
Grabe. I didn't know that there are issues like this. ANd I think hindi ka naman aattend ng event just for the freebies. The main reason would be for the review, experience, or probably to meet other bloggers.
ReplyDeleteprecisely why I choose events I go to. I haven't been in an event for over a month now. It's a disgrace to be in the same room with such bloggers. Who, for the most part, only started blogging to receive those goodie bags. :(
ReplyDeleteAng dami intriga sa blogging world :) Parang showbizz
ReplyDeleteJadey
ReplyDeleteButi na lng Mommy Tess d tayo kasali doon sa gulo :-) Geesh, ano ba yan :-( kakahiya naman :-( I would rather receive pitch products and writing my honest reviews than attending blogger event like that and end up fighting :-)
DeleteI agree to this, I often read about bloggers go crazy on events and go gaga over it but I am not into events and PR's. I just do my own thing of the advertiser agree then I good.
ReplyDeleteI agree guys i rather pitch for reviews at home and do the right way review it instead of going to events then you making gulu gulu there! It's not mature i think!
ReplyDeletei used to go to events (once in a blue moon - some blogging related and some not) before, like two years ago. and yeah, loot bags are nice to take home. when i was still clueless about all this, out of excitement as a newbie blogger, i also once made the mistake of asking the PR if i could have my friend with me to the event. now, reading about all this and three years forward, i know better. i haven't gone to any event for two years now since i became a stay at home mom. it's additional time away from the family for me because i don't take my kids to events anyway. i'd rather stay home na lang. lootbags are nice, but like they say, if that is the reason for going to events, then it is not worth it. I would rather have what people in the US do, they send the products out and then you review it.
ReplyDeleteI rarely attend events. I only attend events where I'm personally invited as social media partner or print media partner. I still prefer having PR materials as its more efficient.
ReplyDeleteHay naku, kaya nasisira ang pangalan ng matitinong bloggers ay dahil sa mga bloggers na ang goal lang yata kaya uma-attend ng events is to get lootbags.
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh, nakakahiya to. Gold bah ang nasa loot bag at kelangang pag awayan?
ReplyDeleteI rarely attend events, and in those instances that I did, I've seen firsthand how career bloggers can be.
ReplyDeleteMay ganito pala? ^_^
ReplyDeleteI hope whatever issue there is between these bloggers they get them fixed because really, it's the whole blogging community that is being affected. There is a better way to deal with grudges against someone and to drag the whole community into that is not a good one. Ive been at several events, some with lootbags some with none. But this is the first time I've herad this and it's good that your post lists guidelines and ethical standars in attending events rather than hateful comments against these people which aren't really doing anything good. Whatever is to be fixed, do it behind the curtain so that no one will be dragged.
ReplyDelete*I dont know who's involved with this neither the emails nor tweets about these people but it's just sad to see how the term 'bloggers' get to be defiled because of such issue.
