Horses - Top 10 facts

I live in a community where cows and horses out numbered the human population. Living away from the big city and tall buildings is not for everybody. Most of us are used to the noise and traffic and cannot survive in a quiet place. A place to live in is primarily a matter of choice because of  job reason. I for once thought that I cannot survive  a place at the middle of nowhere. But I was wrong.  Fresh air, relaxing scenery, peaceful with only sounds of the animals to hear, no nosy neighbors, good neighborhood. What else can I ask for.

My family just moved in to a 20 acres property and planning to raise some animals but the plan changed for some reasons. Right now, we have some priorities to do and the animal raising can wait. This morning, I got some visitors outside enjoying the grasses and the rain. The kids were so excited to see three horses in our yard and pasture land.

5. Most domesticated horses begin training under saddle or in harness between the ages of two and four.
6. They reach full adult development by age five.
7.Their average lifespan is between 25 and 30 years.
8. Horse breeds are loosely divided into three categories based on general temperament:
a.spirited "hot bloods", with speed and endurance.
b. cold bloods such as draft horses and some ponies, suitable for slow, heavy work.
c.warm bloods, developed from crosses between hot bloods and cold bloods, often focusing on creating breeds for specific riding purposes, particularly in Europe.
9. There are more than 300 breeds of horses in the world today, developed for many different uses.
