Catastrophe Award for Most Homework Excuses

What will you do if your child came home one day with an award presented by the teacher? Here is the story, a mom of an 8 year old child complained to the school principal about the "Catastrophe Award" that her daughter received from the class room. An award was given for apparently having the most excuses for not having homework.

So the AI Season 11 Finalists are Jessica Sanchez and Phillip Phillips, meaning Joshua Ledet was out. I can't belive this farce. Now, Jessica, I understand, she is actually very talented, but Phillip? J. Lo wasn't happy, and when she's not happy, nobody's happy, if you know whant I mean.

Mother's Day Gift

Mother's Day 2012 is Sunday, May 13, a day where mothers are the  center of everybody's attention. We honor the women who carried their children inside the womb for 9 months, who gives us unconditional love and who will do anything to make sure we grow up safe in any harm that may come our way. 

The Avengers in 3D Movie

I have not been to a movie house for more than a year. For a mother like me with 3 years old son, it is better to watch movies at home. We just buy dvd's  like Iron man, Captain America and The Incredible Hulk. It has not only saved us money but saved us from my little boys tantrums inside the movie house too. When the Avengers movie came out on televison commercials, I got excited and told hubby that I want to watch  it on a big screen this time. He asked why,  I simply answered that I want to see my boyfriend, Captain America. 

The Joy of Being A Mother

                                                                            Being a mother is a tough job. But it can gives us so much joy if we learn to  appreciate and enjoy our children. Parenting is difficult and sometimes we feel that we are a failure especially when they misbehave or act the way we think is wrong. The truth is they are not actually bad, they are just exploring and learning. All they need is a guidance and constant reminding of the right thing to do. I have two kids, a 13 years old and a 4 years old. Both likes to irritate each other, fighting over the television show and over mothers attention. It is sometimes irritating but kids are kids, it is just a part of a growing relationship with each other. What is satisfying is when kids get high grades in school, caring and loving.
