Continuously Improve Yourself

Education starts from home when your parents taught you how to move about, talk, and think like pointing the right object or fitting the right shape into its place. The school gets you further academically most of the time. There comes a time you learn a sport or two and even taught some skills to get by. As you go along, you finish high school and you found yourself wanting to pursue a specific course in college. It is something you may have wanted to become later in life or you simply took the course for practical reasons.

You may have not gone to college due to your financial constraints. In the Philippines it is almost impossible to miss high school because the government supports free education until high school. After graduation, though, those who are poor may find themselves looking for work right away. What can high school education give you as a job? Mostly the dirty work available in fast food chains. They actually support working students, hence, they are considerate with school schedule. Those who have the initiative, determination and the staying power to go to college take this tiring solution.

Being out of school for so long is not a problem anymore. With the internet there are so many things you can learn to improve yourself. With the availability of online jobs you can work from home. Know your limit, capacity and ability and look for jobs that can accept your qualification. If you like a certain job but you do not have what it takes but you find that you can have it as long as you have internet and the willingness to learn, then go for it.

Learning is continuous, until the day you die. It makes your value higher and it gives you more satisfaction. Opportunities knock to those who are prepared.

  1. We learn everything to day if we look hard enough for the lessons. We should always be open to learning.

  2. I remember one quote: "WHEN GOD SHUTS ONE DOOR, HE OPENS ANOTHER." Learning is really a process to open another door of success, if it closes it doesn't say you STOP but keep moving.

  3. If we persevere to learn new ideas and ponder about it success is inevitable but if not then you get lost in the crowd of unemployed.

  7. Totally agree. Parent education is the foundation of a child's knowledge, his behavior and even what he wants or will become when he grow up. Parents should strive to provide children the best education possible.

  8. Correct! In Chinese we have a saying "huo dao lao xue dao lao." It means likely the same as what you said: "Learning is continuous; while we are getting old, we are still learning." It just does not stop in every day of our lives.

  9. I agree with using the internet as another means of getting a job in the comforts of our own home, but I doubt if that's possible if most people's reason why they cannot continue education in college because they have limited financial resource, what more owning a computer and paying for the service provider.. my 2 cents.. :D

  10. Graduations are just popping up in everywhere.
And there are some really big decisions that we may regret in the future.
I have a professional degree, but Im realising more and more each day that taking skilled courses may have work better for most people.
Its true that our learning is continous, I may yet again find myself back at the academe, pursuing greater heights for my education in a few months.. or at least to pump up my resume.
These are some of the things that you may the need to explain to your children carefully.
My parents left me on my own when it comes to making decisions in my life, and sometimes I feel like I needed a guiding light where none shone.

  11. For those who wants to continue with school, there's still time to finish it. There's no age barriers when it comes to having a degree.
