The Joy of Being A Mother

Being a mother is a tough job. But it can gives us so much joy if we learn to  appreciate and enjoy our children. Parenting is difficult and sometimes we feel that we are a failure especially when they misbehave or act the way we think is wrong. The truth is they are not actually bad, they are just exploring and learning. All they need is a guidance and constant reminding of the right thing to do. I have two kids, a 13 years old and a 4 years old. Both likes to irritate each other, fighting over the television show and over mothers attention. It is sometimes irritating but kids are kids, it is just a part of a growing relationship with each other. What is satisfying is when kids get high grades in school, caring and loving.

Here are the collection of my youngest  sons sweet words for me. He is such an angel.
  • "Mommy, I missed you" - I told him to go ahead in the bedroom to take a nap and followed him after 5 minutes .He was in bed already waiting for me and said those words when I was beside him.
  • "Mommy, you are my best friend" - I t is good to hear that at a young age of 3 my kid already consider me as his best friend.
  • "Sorry mommy" - This is his favorite dialogue. He will never stop saying this words until you responded.
  • " Thank you" and "you are welcome" - Hearing it makes me really proud of him.
  • " You are sexy mommy" - I once showed him a sexy photo from one of the blog I was reading and told him that the model is sexy. He looked at it and then added, "no she's not, you are sexy mommy".
  • "mommy, I have flowers for you" - Every time he plays outside or while we were walking, he'll pick wild flowers to give me.
  • "I need to kiss you mommy" - One night while making the bed, he entered in my bedroom and told me this. So I let him climbed up in bed to get the sweetest kiss in the whole world
Happy Mothers day!

  4. Everything you said was true. It's hard to become a mom, but the rewards are priceless! Lalo na when our kids are very generous when it comes to expressing their love for us.

  6. I don't wonder why your kids have said those words.
Your nurture and guidance to them are just out of lavish love.
A great price is to see them growing from your caress.
    Happy Mother's Day!

  7. I just realized how terrible I was as a child. I never uttered these words while growing up because we weren't accustomed to being compassionate and expressive. Me and my siblings were never sweet to our mother because she never was lovable to us. We were quite a hotblooded family. But now that we're adults, I don't find it corny anymore.

  10. I so agree with everything you said! Raising a child is indeed the most difficult task we could ever have yet the most fulfilling, most rewarding one any one could have.

I love how you have documented your kid's precious words, I planned to blog about the same before, usually about my son's unusual and funny out-of-the-blue comments but loose them in my head a lot of times :(

Awww that's sweet of you to notice every sweet words of your son and how sweet of your son to utter those words. i could relate with everything he said except for the "mommy here's flower for you" which reminds me that I could get my mami some flowers this Mother's Day for a change. i have a 12 nieces and nephews who give me flowers and cards on Mother's Day though, and one of them (4 year old Shanara) would say "mommy, here's flower for you!)
