Christmas Vacation

My 2 kids are both in school  and today is their last day  for a Christmas vacation although the eldest made it 4 days earlier because of exams exemption. It is a two weeks vacation  and I consider going somewhere instead of staying home and do nothing. It would be nice to go on a  trip to California as requested by my eldest son and at the same time visit a closed friend and his godmother. He was asking if we could go on a road trip then stay overnight in a hotel .I told him why not  but the problem is I don't want to drive too long especially at night for fear of getting lost at the middle of nowhere. On the second thought,a travel by air is a much better idea than by land considering that I have a 3 years old son to go with us.A long drive would be very exhausting for him and besides I can't imagine myself driving 2,000 miles from Oklahoma to California .A plane ride saves us a lot of time and energy without worrying a lot on the road. I will just get a trusted  luxury car hire once we get to the airport.I already checked for a cheap air fare and rent a car online .Luckily,I found the Dollar Car Rental with locations all over US  and is also available in South Africa and Namibia. One thing that makes me so excited about it aside from a very affordable price  and a large selection of  quality vehicles that they offer to costumers is their branch in  Los Angeles International Airport(LAX).

For a  tight budget mom like me, a low rate and a reliable car is a big factor  so I really get the best deal possible online.

  1. It'll be hard, really, for your 3-year old kid to travel by land on thousand miles. That'll be tiring as well as to you. God bless you all and have a safe trip!

  2. This maybe tiring for your kids, but you can always find ways for them to enjoy the trip and the christmas vacation

  3. Wow. Road trip! Masaya nga yun, driving from state to state.. Dami pang makikita along the way. It's an adventure! Pero nakakakaba din, lalo na't meron kayong kids na dala. Mas okay nga naman mag plane na lang.. :)

    Happy Holidays! :D

  4. Wow I would also choose travelling on air than on land if I had a baby with me, and besides I still don't know how to drive huhuhu

  5. it's a good thing there are now good deals available online! that sounds like a long travel time by car, so the plane seems to be a much better option, specially with a young child in tow. :)

Whatever your decision, I hope you and your family will have a very happy Christmas vacation!

  6. Ah .... holidays!

You could totally go for that if you wish to but it's kinda tiring to bring a kid along with you. But hey, it could be a fun trip.

  7. Wow, congrats to your eldest for exam exemption!
The only problem of traveling by air is if your lil one throws a tantrum and *might* annoy some of the passengers. But I'm sure you will be able to handle him, what with the great way your eldest turned out :)

    Enjoy your vac!

  8. Traveling by air will definitely be more convenient for your 3-year old. Anyway, what matters is you all have fun.. It's the journey, not the destination, right?

    Have a merry Christmas :)

  11. When I travel alone (as a passenger), I sometimes enjoy long rides, especially if the scenery outside is relaxing. But with the kids, I always prefer the ride to be short, if possible, and comfy. The kids oftentimes get cranky if the ride becomes too difficult for them to endure.
