School day is over and my son is now enjoying his summer vacation playing Nintendo Ds games and surfing the net.He will be in Grade 6 next school year in the US with new school and classmates.I hope he'll get use with the new environment schoolmates and friends.
I took this picture one foggy morning outside the school .He hates picture taking or probably just shy that his mommy was asking him to pose for a while with some students and classmates around. The school is just a few block away from the house but it is safer if I drive him to school before I go to work.
Another foggy and cold morning .My son was wearing his P E uniform with a back pack and a plastic envelope for some of his school stuff. He was using an old but very durable backpack ,if I am not mistaken ,I bought it from Walmart in 2005 as his travel bag. I actually got him a stroller bag for the school year but he didn't like it and ask me if he can use the old back pack instead.
For our mommy moments, this picture was taken 3 years back before we go to work and school.
Your son is shy maybe because his big already. My 6 yrs old is also like that sometimes so I just take picture of her unaware. Happy MM!

ReplyDeleteYour son is already at that awkward age (adolescence), and when I was his age I also didn't want to have my photo taken. :))
ReplyDeleteNice how hands-on you are in parenting him. He will appreciate it a lot more when he's older and looking back on his childhood.
kids nowadays wanted their freedom up their sleeves which is why minsan their sole refuge is being shy.
ReplyDeleteThanks for this post. Your son, in due time will be able to cope at the demands of life for him.
God bless you both
lol my son hates it too, its embarrassing on their part that their mom taking a pic on them
ReplyDeleteI love bringing my kids go to school and see them while they are entering their respective rooms. I relate myself to them when I was a grader like them. The when I go home, after a day's work, I am excited to find out how they perform in school, follow them for their assignments or homework. And also I check their school contribution if there's any. That's how I am strongly attached to my children. My wife and I are always following them up. We don't want them to experience the hardship and the difficulty we have had when we were in their time.
ReplyDeleteIt's your responsibility to drive your son to school though he's big enough and he could manage to do it for himself. You're a nice, caring mother I hope!

ReplyDeleteHappy weekend Ms. Tess!
Your son is at that stage that they will shy away ... its a good thing at home that he's more comfy posing with you ... my son loves having his photo taken with or without me ... I hope he wont' change :)
ReplyDeleteShyness is normal. When I was at that age I was very very shy. But now I'm the exact opposite.
ReplyDeleteMaybe it's something to do with growing up.
