Parent's Birthday Celebration

It is the end of the year again. Every year we never fail to celebrate my fathers special day. We are blessed to have the best father in the whole world. We may be poor, but it  did not stop him from sending us all to college for a better life.

My father is the oldest of 9 children who hails from Bicol.  At a young age, he went to Manila to work  and follow his dream. He did not finish high school so he ended up working in a small grocery store owned by the young Chinese couple as their boy/ helper. The store did make it good until  the owner switched to a small  canned factory with my father as their st employee and mechanic.  My father did master the mechanic job through experience that saves the company s a lot of money.

When living in your own house or apartment, you have to constantly monitor the property in case something has gone wrong, such as a break in the wiring or the pipes. In an ALF, on the other hand, it is the owners of the business who take care of these things and if something should go wrong, they will have it fixed immediately.

8) Privacy and autonomy

ALFs have private apartments for each of their residents. Such an arrangement enables those who live there to have as much privacy as they need and to be as autonomous as possible even as the care that they need is being provided for them. This is a good thing because over the years people become attached to their “four-legged friends” and want to continue living with them.

9) Between independent living and the old folks’ home

Taking care of some people can be a great burden on family members, but an old folks’ home may not be necessary. Assisted living is the perfect compromise.

10) The social experience

ALFs can provide their members with a rich and rewarding social life. They can interact with each other and form new relationships that can make their lives happier and healthier.

It must be mentioned, before concluding, that some services that one would find in a retirement are not available at an ALF. You will seldom, for instance, find special medical monitoring equipment there. They will have a nursing staff, but they will not be continually available. On the other hand, nursing homes usually do not allow pets.

Hindi pala madaling manirahan sa bansa ng mga Arabo lalo na at kalahi nila ang napangasawa ko, iba ang kultura, religion at pananaw sa buhay. Hangang kagabi sa shore time ito pa rin ang kanta nila, nagtanong tuloy ako sa sarili ko gaano ba talaga kadalas ang minsan? kadalasan ang minsan nagiging habit, kadalasan ang minsan nagiging ugali, .kadalasan ang minsan nangyayari dahil kagustuhan natin, kadalasan ang minsan nagaganap na lang ng hindi nating namamalayan.

Sabi nga sa kanta ang minsan ay sindalas na rin ng dami ng bituin, paano magiging minsan ang madalas?, ang hirap ipaliwanag, ako rin naguguluhan. Sa bawat pag bigkas ni Celso at Jennifer, pinakikinggan ko, may mga pinagdaanan sila, sana lang nga pagdaanan na lang nila at hindi kasalukuyang nangyayari o siguro sadyang gusto lang nila ang kanta dahil sa magandang himig nito. Wala akong masabi dahil magaganda ang mga boses nila, sabi ko nga matatabulgan nila si KZ ng X factor Philippines dahil pang X factor Universe ang talento nila. 

Ang kanta ay tungkol sa pag ibig, puro na lang pag ibig, kung puwede lang nga hindi na umibig ginawa ko na,  siguro mas tahimik at hindi komplikado ang buhay. "Gaano kadalas ang minsan kang hagkan, gaano kadalas ang makapiling kang minsan, gaano kadalas ang minsan mo akong saktan”.  Ang minsan na yan ang nagiging madalas kahit alam na nating mali, kahit malinaw pa sa sinag ng araw na hindi ang katulad niya ang gusto natin, masakit pero doon tayo masaya, subali't.... hanggang kailan? 

Napagtanto ko sa huling mensahe ng kanta na kahit gaano kadalas ang minsan kung ang pag ibig ay hindi  rin lang  wagas,  mabuti pa na hanggang maaga ay magwakas. Mahirap gawin pero kailangang magdesisyon, kung sa palagay mo na ginagamit ka lang para sa sariling kapakanan ng mahal mo, kalimutan mo na siya, gaya ng sinabi ko mas mabuti pa yung isang sakit na masakit na masakit, tapos nun wala na...hindi habang pinagpapatuloy mo lalo kang masasaktan dahil palalim ng palalim ang sugat na pilit mong pinagagaling.

My son is doing pretty good with his reading. He knows all the alphabet before he went to school and then he learned all the sounds and others before the end of school year. Summer vacation is his time to learn to read. He reads during bedtime and once he is done, he feel sleepy and tired. This technique works well with him. Back To School, Summer Vacation is Over

Today is my boy's first day of school. Summer vacation is over and my 4 years old son is so happy about it. Dear Diary

Years back, during my teenage years, I used to have a dairy to record what has happened to me over the day. It includes my personal experiences, feelings and of course the most important entry was about my school crush and love life. Inside the pages of the diary, I can freely write everything about how I feel to someone secretly. These simple diary makes me feel better at the end of the day and upon reading it over and over again. Teenage life is the most colorful part of our lives, no doubt about it.

Nowadays, some personal diaries are in the form of blog, written for public viewing and no longer private anymore. Personal blog is a daily update of the activities, ideas, thoughts, inspiration, and everything that happened around us. It helps the blogger tell the story of their lives and others or a rant into something else.

For mom like me, our parents are the most important person in our lives next to our kids because without them we will not be what we are today. My youngest son turned 4 years last week. He clearly told us that he is already a big boy and not a baby anymore. For his big day, he only had three requests, a birthday cake and candles to blow, lots of toys, so I took him to Walmart's toy section to get some toys of his choice and lastly, to play at Mc Donald's play area, have a Mc chicken burger and a Happy Meal for a free toy inside.

Children's Book- I'm a Caterpillar

If you have a kid in your house then you have a lot lot of children's book that your kid's loves mommy to read for them. Kids may not know how to read yet but by looking at the colorful pictures alone, they learn to appreciate the story. One  thing that I noticed from my son was, if the book has  no pictures and just letters, he will ignore me and will be  useless to force him to listen and I will just end up in a high blood mode again. So, what I do is, breathe deeply, keep calm, then  move on to the next book.

I have seen this song for the first time when hubby was on face book  watching a you tube video posted  by my sister on her wall. My husband was having fun watching these three wacky girls and the poor boy who was trying to sleep.
